Position Overview

We are looking for a well-organized colleague to join our team and help us further develop the ELA office and support the ELA members in rolling out strategic activities. This includes improving efficient digital working methods between member organizations and providing support to decision-making processes and the statutory bodies of ELA. This role will be central in ensuring that we function as an efficient and well-connected European political platform.

It is a dynamic and varied role that combines general office support, meeting coordination, communications handling, and digital platform development.

You’ll be supporting our central office functions—organizing meetings, handling incoming and outgoing mail (postal and digital), and managing routine payments and administrative tasks. At the same time, you’ll play an important role in helping us become more digitally coordinated, by improving how we work together across borders and supporting the setup of digital tools for collaboration across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and organizational support to the Secretary general, to the Executive team, and to the ELA statutory bodies (Board and General Assembly).
  • Coordinate internal meetings and assist with logistics and documentation.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including email
  • Process payments and support basic bookkeeping or financial administration tasks.
  • Support the digitalization of internal workflows, tools, and communication systems.
  • Help implement and manage a shared digital workspace for members across Europe.

Qualifications and Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant educational background, and special consideration will be given to individuals with strong professional and movement-based experience.

  • Experience in administration, operations, or office coordination.
  • Ability in using and setting up digital tools and platforms, and comfortable helping digitize documents and workflows
  • Familiar with scheduling and project management tools, and open to learning basic automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make.com, …)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid team.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is essential, additional European languages are a strong asset.
  • Experience working in an international or political/activist environment.
