Esquerda.lab – ideias para a alternativa, Institut La Boétie and Instituto República Y Democracia are proud to announce that they are joining forces to build a European foundation under the name For The People!.

Our newly founded association For The People! and the European Left Alliance for the People and the Planet — our affiliated European party — have decided to build a European foundation to lead intellectual, research and popular education work throughout the continent. This foundation will work with scholars from various sciences in Europe to nourish the political debate. Their contributions will be put at the public’s disposal in conferences, papers, books, and training sessions. The foundation For The People! will be headed by co-directors Clémence Guetté (co-president of Institut La Boétie and MP in the French National Assembly, La France Insoumise) and Li Andersson (MEP, the Finnish Left Alliance, Vasemmistoliitto).

We are ready to lead, united, the ideological battle for social justice, feminism, antiracism, peace, and a just ecological transition across our national borders. Our respective countries, people, and our continent as an entity need it very badly. This is only a start: in the coming months and years, we intend to work with more and more national foundations that share our values.
