When: Saturday, May 16th, 11 am – 1:30 pm
Where: Centrum Konferencyjne “Fabryczna” (Sala Synergia), ul. Fabryczna 13, Kraków
This event is organised by the European Left Alliance (ELA), in the framework of the Justice for Palestine European Citizens’ Initiative. It will focus on the Justice for Palestine initiative and its broader implications for advocacy in solidarity with Palestine. The speakers will discuss how to effectively counter human rights violations and build global solidarity together.
Israel is committing genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian population. However, the European Union still chooses to trade with Israel and maintain the EU–Israel Association Agreement. The European Citizens’ Initiative “Justice for Palestine” demands the full suspension of the EU–Israel Association Agreement. Launched by ELA, the initiative has already gathered over 1.1 million signatures from citizens across Europe, in only four months – a powerful democratic mandate that the European Commission and EU Member States cannot ignore.
This event will play an important role in raising further awareness on the Justice for Palestine campaign in Poland, and to highlight our call for the full suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
